The residents of Hemang-Mpasatie in the Amenfi-East district of the Western Region are crying bitterly over the poorest nature of the only chip community which serves over five communities. In an interview with some aggrieved residents of the community, it was noted that, the health facility was built by the community through communal labour over the past decades but has since not seen any improvement. "This is the only health facility which serve over five communities. Sometimes we have to carry our pregnant wives on motorbikes before we get to a nearby hospital. They sometimes die on the road to the hospital, in fact we have been neglected by our MP and MCE", they spoke. Moreover, some of the youth threatened to block the road in order to prevent the MP from campaigning in the community when the need arises, since they believe he the MP didn't help them.

According to a police release, the injured persons; Deputy Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Osei Adutum and other officials, are currently at the Tamale Teaching Hospital responding to treatment while a hunt for the suspected robbers numbering 7. PRO for the Northern Regional Police Commander, DSP Mohammed Yusif Tanko explained that the robbers also shot into the vehicle of the Deputy Minister of Education who was traveling from Bolga to Kumasi but he escaped unhurt. The incident happened on July22, 2019,  at about 5:30pm, on the Tamale Buipe highway and the Police highway patrol team was called in but the suspects managed to escape into the bushes as soon as they was the police arrive. A 38 year old man identified as Kwabena Boahene on Wednesday 17 is reported killed by his two friends at Assin Subrinso, a farming community in Assin North Municipality of the Central Region. David Amaglo a local reporter at the area told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari on Offinso based Time Fm evening news that there was an exchange of words between Kwabena Boahen, a native of Assin Dansame, now deceased, and his two friends identified as Ekow and Abena wura, a commercial driver demanding to join Kwabena Boahen in hands with a local dish "banku" with soup which resulted in a heated brawl between . The reporter explained that the "banku" was purchased by Kwabena Boahen from a chop bar operator and started having pudding at the spot where the two came from nowhere only to demand a taste of the meal. He revealed this to the press today, adding that, if the government can afford to pay extra responsibilities by the churches, they should go on with their taxation. "I will only support the government when it comes to taxation while taxing those business pastors, because not all of us have turned the church to business centers and truly, we help the government through the social interventions and others. A 39-year-old bus conductor has been incarcerated to four-months imprisonment by the Ashiaman Circuit Court for disappearing with sales made. The convict, Kweku Asare, who resides at Fitta-lane, a surbub of Ashiaman, pleaded guilty with explanation to the charges of conspiring to commit crime and stealing. He explained to the court that he did not harbour the intention to run away with the money but a friend came to him that his mother was ill and needed money for her immediate treatment so he gave the money to him. According to him, his friend was supposed to return the money that same day but he never did. He narrated further that he had not heard from the friend and that was why he decided to disappear. The judge, Gabriel Martey-Teye, sentenced Kweku to four months in jail and asked him to refund the sum by August 31,2018. in default, he would attract additional months.
