LATEST FIFA RANKINGS (C.A.F. REGION AS AT 29TH JULY)

After the recent AFCON tournament, The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has made all available ratings to rank the performances of the African countries during the 32nd AFCON tournament. These are the rankings so far; 1.SENEGAL   Senegal came second at the recent AFCON while loosing to their bitter rivals twice in the competition; at the group stages and during the grande finale; Algeria. 2.TUNISIA.    Reaching the semis was very tough for the although they managed to. After beating one of the favourates in the competition, much expectation were given them. 3.NIGERIA.    Upon all the promises made to them, Nigeria was not able to make it to the grande finale. Although representing the bronze medalist of the competition, much expectations was also given. 4. ALGERIA.    The two times African champions placed fourth on the ranking charts, as much expectations were not recognised but proved all thoughts wrong and merged winner of the 2019 AFCON

DEPUTY MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND OTHERS ATTACKED AT SARIKYIKURA.

According to a police release, the injured persons; Deputy Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Osei Adutum and other officials, are currently at the Tamale Teaching Hospital responding to treatment while a hunt for the suspected robbers numbering 7. PRO for the Northern Regional Police Commander, DSP Mohammed Yusif Tanko explained that the robbers also shot into the vehicle of the Deputy Minister of Education who was traveling from Bolga to Kumasi but he escaped unhurt. The incident happened on July22, 2019,  at about 5:30pm, on the Tamale Buipe highway and the Police highway patrol team was called in but the suspects managed to escape into the bushes as soon as they was the police arrive. The Police has however began a serious investigations to arrest the suspects involved.

SHUN NPP, THEY HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO OFFER - NDC CHAIRMAN.

The NDC, Bibiani - Anhwiaso Bekwai constituency chairman, Mr Kofi Ankomah, alias rubber man has indicated that, the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) has nothing good to offer the people of Western North hence they should do away with them. In an exclusive interview with the press, he narrated that, definitely, the Bibiani constituency seat will be in the hands of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) after the up coming general elections. "We will unseat the NPP coming 2020 elections, two candidates have filed their forms in the ticket of NDC here in the constituency, my candidates are very serious and we will win both the Presidency and Parliamentary elections", he added. Moreover, he told the constituents to remain calm believing they will enjoy better living conditions under the NDC government if they are voted into power.

1 KILLED OVER " BANKU " WITH SOUP.

A 38 year old man identified as Kwabena Boahene on Wednesday 17 is reported killed by his two friends at Assin Subrinso, a farming community in Assin North Municipality of the Central Region. David Amaglo a local reporter at the area told Kaakyire Kwasi Afari on Offinso based Time Fm evening news that there was an exchange of words between Kwabena Boahen, a native of Assin Dansame, now deceased, and his two friends identified as Ekow and Abena wura, a commercial driver demanding to join Kwabena Boahen in hands with a local dish "banku" with soup which resulted in a heated brawl between . The reporter explained that the "banku" was purchased by Kwabena Boahen from a chop bar operator and started having pudding at the spot where the two came from nowhere only to demand a taste of the meal.
