The residents of Hemang-Mpasatie in the Amenfi-East district of the Western Region are crying bitterly over the poorest nature of the only chip community which serves over five communities.
In an interview with some aggrieved residents of the community, it was noted that, the health facility was built by the community through communal labour over the past decades but has since not seen any improvement.
"This is the only health facility which serve over five communities. Sometimes we have to carry our pregnant wives on motorbikes before we get to a nearby hospital. They sometimes die on the road to the hospital, in fact we have been neglected by our MP and MCE", they spoke.
Moreover, some of the youth threatened to block the road in order to prevent the MP from campaigning in the community when the need arises, since they believe he the MP didn't help them.
