KENYA TO HOST 2020 IAAF U20 CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Kenya is set to host the IAAF World Athletics U20 Championships in 2020. The International sports body on Thursday said Nairobi's candidacy was formally endorsed by the IAAF Council. The IAAF in a statement said Kenya demonstrated its readiness after successfully hosting the U18 edition last year. President Uhuru Kenyatta on his Twitter page thanked the sports body, saying Kenya is ready to charm the World. "Kenya is the home of Athletics. We appreciate the decision by IAAF to select Nairobi as the host city of the World U20 championships to be held on July 7-12, 2020. Athletics is our way of life. A 32-YEAR-OLD MAN RAPED A BORN ONE GOAT.

A 32-year-old Daniel Adom has raped a goat at Amomabo Ketewa near Nyankomasi Ahenkro in Ajumako district in the Central Region. He was caught in the act of having sexual intercoarse with a born one female goat. Information gathered so far indicated that,he is an ex-convict whose name is on wanted list,because of his immoral behaviour women rejects his proposals. Some residents alleged that it wasn't the first time he had violated animals in the village. They continued that, their goats dies rampantly not knowing that is his immoral practices that mounted to premature death of goats in the area. He is now at the Nyankomasi Ahenkro police custody with the victim(goat). The Assin South police commander DSP Okyere Andam confirmed.

ARRESTED FOR KILLING AND DUMPING.

A 37-year-old mason is in the grips of the police for killing and dumping his ex-girlfriend in a bush at Gomoa Nkwantanan in the Central Region. This was after police discovered the decomposing body of Mary Tetteh on Thursday afternoon after two days of search. According to Joy News' Maxwell Agbagba, it was a sorrowful scene as a family member who accompanied the police to identify the body, evoked the spirit of the deceased to deal with her killer. The station officer of Awutu Breku said a amn reported to them that his girlfriend has gone missing for two days."Whiles looking for her, we had information that one Issac Bonney, her former boyfriend, was the one who murdered her."We had him arrested and he confessed to her so we came to the scene, combed the whole area and later found the body in the bush", he said. BBC RUBBISHES REPORTS OF DISTANCING ITSELF FROM ANAS.

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has rubbished reports circulating that they had no connection with Tiger Eye P1 and Anas Aremeyaw Anas in their latest expose on African Football dubbed:*12. Media reports suggested that, the BBC were not in anyway connected to the ace journalist for his latest investigative piece on African Football. THE RUSH FOR FAME HAS LED TO CORRUPT PROPHETS - ARCHBISHOP VOWS.

The General Overseer for Shiloh United Church at Asuyeboah in the Ashanti Region, Archbishop Dr. Richard Addae has reiterated its quest that, the strive for fame and power is as a cause of corrupt prophets in the country. He disclosed this to Metro news Fred Nyame in an interview, adding that, some young prophets have these days gained riches and are rushing for premature fame, believing this has resulted to "fake" prophecies we see in the system. "I can assure you that, the strive to gain worth and fame has resulted to fake prophecies, sometimes I feel embarrassed when I see them doing all sorts of things which is not Biblical, Ghanaians must be watchful because the end time is nearer, so that they don't follow those greedy prophets", he stressed. In addition, he appealed to those men of God who are competing among themselves to know its against the doctrine pf Christianity.

ASSEMBLY MAN FIGHTS CHIEF ACCUSING HIM OF DEFILING COURT ORDER.

The assembly member for Brongkon Afrancho, Hon Philip Sarkodie Addo has accused the chief of the community Nana Darko Amprah II for illegally building stalls at a site where the Roman Catholic church sought interlocutory injunction, preventing them from building a BOT toilet facility. The story indicated that, last year the entire community came into conclusion to build a toilet facility at this same site after which the chief and the Roman Catholic church went for court injunction over it but he is surprised how the chief made a u-turn to build on the same plot. "Am surprised how come a whole chief defile court order, even you prevented the entire community from building BOT on the site but now you want to use the same plot for stalls. I know the district assembly is not even aware of this buildings", he reiterated. He stated that residents at Afrancho have planned to stage massive demonstration against the chief,if he continues with the building.

HERBALIST DIES AS CLIENT TESTS BULLET-REPELLING CHARMS ON HIM.

A 26-year-old native doctor, Chinaka Adoezuwe, reportedly died as one of his clients, Chukwudi Ijezie, attempted to test the bullet-repelling charms Adoezuwe had allegedly prepared for him. The incident happened in Umouzu Ugiri village, Isaiah Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. Ijezie, who is now being held in Police custody had gone to the herbalist to procure charms that would prevent bullets from penetrating his body when shot at. Adoezuwe, after allegedly preparing the charms had reportedly instructed Ijezie to position himself so that he (the native doctor) could test-run the efficacy of the charms -- an instruction that allegedly declined to carry out. Our source claimed that Adoezuwe was confident of the charm's efficacy and therefore went ahead to wear the charms around his neck and thereafter instructed Ijezie to shoot him. SMALLER PARTIES MUST BECOME ONE AND ALTERNATE TO NDC & NPP.

A strong word of suggestion has been sent out to all smaller political parties in Ghana, ie, CPP, PPP, PNC, NDP, Independent candidate (J.O.Y) to join into one party and offer an alternate to the long lasting NPP, NDC tradition Speaking to the Accra-based Majesty FM last Tuesday, the respected educationist and counselor, Mr Daniel Fenyi claimed that the ulterior motive of every political party is to win elections and wield power but the smaller parties may never win power if they don't become strategic. Mr Daniel Fenyi called on all the leaders of the smaller parties to meet and find how best they can merge, devise strategic means and totally rebrand themselves for a serious political game come 2020. Mr Daniel Fenyi said Ghanaians are gradually becoming tired of the two giants parties, ie, NPP and NDC but they don't any alternative party to vote for. He thinks if the parties merge, they can win power.
